Digital collage incorporating original photography and scanned monotype

This series of works combines photography with digitally altered monotypes. The monotype forms move across the images like traces of anxiety and distressing memories, almost like ghostly presences that interrupt the view. Behind them, photographs of nature remain visible but partly obscured, suggesting memories of calm, safety, or connection that become harder to reach when anxiety takes over. The works reflect the way anxious thoughts can change how we experience memory, allowing certain thoughts to dominate while others remain present but pushed into the background.
