Painting on paper, scanned and digitally collaged in Photoshop, then printed as a digital print.

Emotions of Cold is assembled from fragments of three quickly painted studies created while recalling different thoughts and emotional states. Clouds, rain, droplets, waves, and restless lines move through a palette of blue and dark green, creating a feeling of coldness and instability. The original sketches were made intuitively and within a short amount of time, allowing the marks to develop without too much control or correction. By cutting and rearranging them into a digital collage, the work reflects the way emotions and memories can return in pieces rather than as one complete image.
