Under the Spell of Flowers combines vivid fragments of neon green, yellow, purple, and red into a restless, almost hypnotic composition. The lines twist, loop, and swirl across the image, at times resembling currents of water that seem to pull the viewer inward. Red petal-like forms and bright colour accents introduce a sense of attraction and beauty, while the movement of the collage makes that beauty feel slightly unstable. The work reflects the way something visually pleasant can become so intense that it begins to feel consuming.
